What format is used to present these topics?
The presentations are in Webinar format. You will be given a web address to sign in for the LIVE lecture and you will also be given a telephone number to call into for the audio portion of the lecture. This format is for live or traditional lectures and are presented on a specific date and time. These lectures are also recorded and can be attended as non-traditional or on-demand webinars. These you can do anytime on your schedule.

How to View On-Demand Webinars using Mozilla Firefox?
If you are using the Mozilla Firefox browser, and have trouble viewing videos and/or on-demand webinars, you will need to update your Windows Media Player plugin.
Click here to download it, then just open the file and follow the instructions to install it. Re-start your browser and the videos will function correctly.

What do I need to do to attend a LIVE program
View our
schedule of live webinars and register for the specific program of your choice. After registration, you will be sent instructions via email to log on to web site listed and dial into audio line at the specific time and date of event. You will be sent an evaluation form to complete and return via email or fax. We will then either email or fax back a CEU certificate that you can use as proof of attending the CEU program.

What do I need to do to attend a Non-traditional or on-demand program?
You need a
DeVilbiss Clinical Education User ID and password (
create a free account here if you don't have one). Browse our
Respiratory Webinars and/or
Sleep Webinars offerings, and select the program you wish to view and complete the entire program. At the end of the program, you will be asked to complete a quiz. If you answer the correct number of questions, you will be awarded the CEU certificate. Print off the certificate and keep for your records. NOTE: Please make sure of the number of Non-traditional CEU’s that are acceptable by your state to be used for renewing your state license or credential.

Will I receive CEU credits for these presentations?
These presentations are approved by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and are classified 2 different ways.
traditional credits are given for programs presented

demand programs are classified as non-traditional by the AARC.

I lost my certificate. What can I do?
DeVilbiss Clinical Education offers a feature called "My Certificates" which allows you to view and download your certificates as images or readily-printable PDF.
Once logged-in with your DCE username and password, you'll find a "My Certificates" list in the right column, just above User Menu.
Click the
to save the corresponding certificate as an image to your hard-drive, or click
to save it as a PDF file ready for printing.

Are these credits good for sleep techs?
The Board for Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BPRT) accepts AARC approved sleep topics for maintaining your credential through the BPRT. (this document can be found

If your state has licensure as a sleep technologist, please contact your local association for sleep technologist or the state board for sleep technologists to find out their requirements for CEU credits

What is the difference between traditional (live) and non-traditional (on-demand)?
Many states require respiratory care practitioners and sleep technologists maintain their licensure based on continuing education credits. Some states separate traditional from non-traditional credits and require a certain number in each of these categories. Please refer to your state AARC affiliation, sleep affiliation or state board responsible for setting up these standards for what is required to maintain your licensure.
